If you didn’t already know, Ben Schwartz is a legendary American comedian known for his awesome improvisation and quick witted humor. As a beloved member of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, Ben Schwartz burst onto the scene by faxing jokes to Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update as well as the Late Show with David Letterman. No stranger to the stage, he has played characters in two huge NBC shows, including Undercovers, as well as Parks and Recreation. You may recognize Ben Schwartz for playing Jean-Ralphio in the American comedy hit TV series Parks and Recreation. He stars as an annoying yet lovable character who believes he is a player and a baller who often uses insurance money and his dad's money to buy whatever he wishes. What’s more, Ben Schwartz made guest appearances in comedy sketches for CollegeHumor, and featured in the 2011 comedy-drama movie Peep World. He has also been hired to write a rendition of the 1991 comedy Soapdish.
And that’s not all, Ben Schwartz has also penned a number of books, including 2017’s Things You Should Already Know About Dating, You F*cking Idiot. Ben Schwartz is a pretty big deal in comedy writing. In fact, the comic was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Writing For A Variety, Music Or Comedy Special for co-authoring Hugh Jackman's epic opening number for the 81st Academy Awards in 2009. How amazing is that?!
And now, the one and only Ben Schwartz is bringing along some of his super funny friends on the road for a totally improvised show. Absolutely nothing is prepared before the show, every word is made up on the spot. The result? A completely unique comedy experience for every single city. "We create an entire world/show that connects and stories that somehow start far apart and then connect and all have something to do with each other," Ben Schwartz tells Time Out New York. "When it works right, it feels like it's written, and it feels like magic. It feels like a magic trick." Ben Schwartz & Friends continues to completely pack out major venues around the globe, including Radio City Music Hall and the Eventim Apollo in the UK. Don’t miss out! To secure your spot, we highly recommend booking your tickets now while you still can!
