“On the 81-year-old’s latest record, Seven Psalms, he silences his surroundings. The quiet is arresting, almost uncanny—the sound of venturing into the backyard in the early morning after a long night of rain. For most of the project’s 33-minute runtime, it’s just Simon’s near-whisper and his acoustic guitar, fingerpicking his way through a spare, dewy landscape.” - Pitchfork

A Quiet Celebration Tour

Seven incredibly long years have gone by since the iconic Paul Simon last hit the road. But this April, the songwriting hero will return to the road with his eagerly awaited A Quiet Celebration Tour. The tour will see the hitmaker play hits from his 2023 LP, Seven Psalms.

A Quiet Celebration comes two years after the 83-year-old rock heavyweight announced he wouldn't be able to perform live again as a result of severe hearing loss. In 2018, Paul Simon performed his farewell tour.

The multi-city tour will see the talented Paul Simon take over major cities across the continent, including appearances in New Orleans at the Saenger Theater, LA at Disney Hall, NYC’s Beacon Theater, and Minneapolis at the breathtaking Orpheum Theatre, all of which were handpicked by the songwriting hero. “Simon, who has been dealing with severe hearing loss, has chosen intimate venues with optimal acoustics for this tour,” his website says. A Quiet Celebration begins in New Orleans on 4th April, makes its way to the world class Orpheum Theatre on 22nd April, and winds down on 3rd August in Seattle at the Benaroya Hall.

About Paul Simon

Paul Simon first burst onto the music scene in the 60s as one half of the iconic duo, Simon & Garfunkel. He then went on to have a critically acclaimed solo career with his own brand of gospel, reggae and soul. His records, 1972’s Paul Simon, 1973’s There Goes Rhymin' Simon, and 1975’s Still Crazy After All These Years were incredibly popular, boasting earworms "Mother and Child Reunion," "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard," and "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover."

Fast forward to the new millennium and Paul Simon won over the hearts of a new generation. His later albums, 2000’s You're the One, 2011’s So Beautiful or So What, and 2016’s Stranger to Stranger paved the way for his biggest and most profound work to date, 2023’s Seven Psalms. And now you get the chance to experience Paul Simon perform his latest album LIVE for what might be the last time ever!! This event is not to be missed - book your tickets now!
