2 Chainz at Orpheum Theatre Minneapolis

Orpheum Theatre is very excited to have 2 Chainz for a special one night show this Spring on Saturday, May 24th. 2 Chainz (AKA Tity Boy) is known across the music world and has been a mainstay of pop rap for the last two decades. Originally coming up from the group Playaz Circle, he signed early to Ludacris’ label and then came up like crazy. He’s worked across the industry, and collaborated with the greats like Kanye West, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Rae Sremmurd, and many other contemporaries across so many different genres. He has won BET Awards and Grammys for his collaborations and floater flows, and has scored #1 hits too many times to count. 2 Chainz is rap music, and that’s what will make his show at The Orpheum Theatre oh so special. He has toured around the world and perfected his craft to a T in front of crowds of thousands, and we’re hoping he brings that same energy to Minneota!

2 Chainz just released a new album, titled Life Is Beautiful, and we’re hoping he plays some songs from the record, too! The album, which co-stars Larry June and features a pleasant cover that has a picture of a bright white yacht splitting through crip blue water, has been met with spectacular critical acclaim. Mark Wesley from In Between Drafts said “Both artists deliver a smattering of quality performances,  it’s actually 2 Chainz who comes through with the higher batting average. His approach to punchline rap has always been hit or miss, albeit leaning more towards success in the later part of his career. At his best, Chainz has always been a very evocative rapper using his bars to offer quick and immediate eyebrow raisers.”  2 Chainz is at his best as a collaborator, and his live shows are what dreams are made of - so why wouldn’t you want to come?!
