Taking TV by storm since his 1999 show "Good Eats" and 2004's "Iron Chef America", the culinary genius, trivia master, and entertaining fella has won the hearts of curious minds around the world. After years of fun and games with fellow foodies, he feels it's time to say goodbye... for now. Planning to disappear for a little while, he's serving up your favorite bits from his live stage extravaganzas. Learning new things through his iconic TV programs "Good Eats", "Iron Chef America", and his interactive live shows - "Eat Your Science", "Edible Inevitable", and "Beyond the Eats", generations of culinary fans have tuned in to his interesting and engaging antics. Now, he's all set to bid farewell... maybe. Well, all we know is he's prepping up the LAST BITE.
"This will be my last big road show," Brown told PEOPLE Magazine in an exclusive feature. Known for his gastronomical delights, culinary genius, scientific knowledge, and entertaining antics on TV, it's news that longtime fans weren't really expecting. Well, at age 62, he's shared his legacy with a family that's grown over the last 20 years. Hoping to spend this time with his own family, he feels it's the right time to put his spatula down. "I'm 62 and I've always said that the secret to being a good guest at a cocktail party is knowing when to leave — and it may be time for me to leave."
Though he's bidding farewell to the big stage, he ain't calling this a retirement... it's his LAST BITE! Sharing his culinary delights for the last time, "After the tour, I'll take a break maybe and disappear for a little while and see if the world misses me. If it doesn't, oh, well, I had a good run," he said. C'mon, of course everyone's gonna remember his great work.
Teasing that his last tour will feature the same format as his previous shows, fans can expect live music, funny spiels, inspiring monologues, and a "very large, very unusual culinary demonstration." With a surprise in store for the Last Bite, where all hyped up to see the costumes, hear his history lessons, guess his trivia, and delight in his pop culture references in the mix. Spilling some secret information about the show's second part, it "concerns the great hero of the Industrial Revolution, steam, and a food that in America would not have existed..."
With his tenth book "Food for Thought" hitting the shelves in February 2025 featuring a collection of essays, he's offering yet another outlet of closure, wrapping p his legacy in the culinary world. Performing for over 500,000 fans in 200+ cities globally, he sure is an iconic fella in the food entertainment industry.
