Bluey’s Big Play at Orpheum Theatre Minneapolis

Two years ago, Bluey set foot across the world, marking her first-ever North American tour. Now, the Heelers have performed at hundreds of shows, and thousands of their best friends couldn’t get enough playtime. In response to huge demand, BLUEY’S BIG PLAY THE STAGE SHOW is back! Extending the tour by twelve months, Bluey is set to meet even more of her little best friends and take everyone on new adventures on stage.

Since taking over Australian TV screens in 2018, Bluey has caught the attention of millions of little kids across the world, hopping on playtime adventures through their iPads and TV screens. Due to its massive success, Bluey finally took off on the live stage, sharing new adventures and special LIVE moments with her little friends. Enjoying massive success from the first Bluey’s Big Play run in Australia, the Heelers have performed over four hundred times across sixty-five venues, including the iconic Sydney Opera House.

Making their way to Minnesota, Bluey is hitting the stage at Orpheum Theatre Minneapolis, a grand and historical theater that has hosted some of the world’s most iconic acts since 1921. Making a great impact on a generation of kids, the Heelers are bound to be proud as one of the world’s most influential characters for children and families.

A theatrical adaptation of the Emmy Award-winning animated series, Bluey’s Big Play will feature a fresh and original story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm. Yup, this isn’t just a live re-enactment of those episodes… it’s a whole new adventure for everyone to enjoy! Moreover, the show will also feature new music by Bluey composer Joff Bush.

Featuring brilliantly crafted puppets, Bluey’s world-class puppeteers breathe new life to the animated characters. As Bluey and Bingo drag Dad off of the couch on a lazy Sunday afternoon, the Heelers are pulling off a bunch of games and quirky antics that everyone is bound to enjoy. It’s time to get Dad off of that bean bag!
