She's a global sensation known for her hilarious wit, charming persona, and infectious energy. Now, the one and only Ellen DeGeneres is marking her final return to the big stage, at ELLEN'S LAST STAND... UP. Concluding her iconic TV talk show's legendary 19-season run, Ellen hopes to reignite her passion for entertainment, hoping to share her wit, anecdotes, and antics to a live audience. Produced by Live Nation, an official release shares that the tour will "reintroduce her trademark wit and laughter-inducing anecdotes" back on the stage.
Despite ups and downs over the last few years, Ellen owned up to her mistakes and remains passionate to share laughs and happiness among her fans. Back on the road to say hi and bid her farewells, it's Ellen's long-awaited return to the big stage. Though her show marked its final episode last May 2022, all the memories and iconic bits remain timeless gems in the entertainment industry. We're sure ya'll have your own favorite games, guest stars, and performances from The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Going way back to its premiere in 2003, Friends TV star Jennifer Aniston was her very first special guest. On its finale episode, the iconic actress went back and took part in the show's last hurrah. With 63 Daytime Emmys and a slew of other awards and recognition, The Ellen DeGeneres Show was one of TV's most beloved programs over the last two decades.
In her final speech, Ellen encourages her audience to offer a piece of their heart when someone opens up to them about who they truly are. "If I've done anything in the past 19 years, I hope I've inspired you to be yourself. Your true, authentic self," adding "And if someone is brave enough to tell you who they are, be brave enough to support them, even if you don't understand."
One of Ellen's legacies began when her character for ABC's sitcom "Ellen" came out as gay, shortly after Ellen DeGeneres herself came out in real life. At a time when LGBT representation in mainstream media wasn't the norm, there were side eyes here and there, but it surely was a monumental moment in TV history. It paved the way for increased representation in mainstream media. Over the last two decades, people continued to follow and support her work. Offering a piece of who she truly is, people embraced her and celebrated wins together.
Stronger than ever, Ellen is ready to talk! Bidding her goodbyes at her farewell tour, she's marking her reign as a pioneer and a legend in the industry.
"There is nobody quite like Ellen," Robbie Praw of Netflix shared in a statement. "She is a true legend and pioneer in so many ways. We can’t wait to bring fans another one of her hilarious comedy specials later this year,"
