Life of Pi at Orpheum Theatre Minneapolis

Many people know the story of Life of Pi because of the movie. Director Ang Lee and his team did an amazing job with the source material, which comes from the novel by Yann Martel. Martel actually helped with the playwright for this show along with expert theater writer Lolita Chakrabarti. This is relevant because it means Life of Pi the Musical grasps the soul of the story, even in this different format. There are two situations that generate the tension throughout the show. It's mainly about Pi's fight for actual survival, while trying not to go crazy in the process. This allows the story to gravitate from his conscious to his subconscious mind.
