The band’s debut album, MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER CHRISTMAS, became a success and was certified six times platinum by the RIAA. Since then, they have led the industry’s holiday music with their modern approach to the classics.

“I remember when I came out with my first Christmas album in 1984, followed by our first tour. Back then, many in the music industry said focusing on Christmas just wouldn’t work,” said Davis. “Now, over 35 years later, we are still going strong. I want to thank our fans for making us part of their holiday tradition, especially after the hardships of the last few years. Today we often see multi-generational families join us during the holidays each year.”

Following the success of Mannheim Steamroller’s debut album, The Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Tour quickly became one of the nation’s annual holiday traditions. The tour now has almost 100 dates across the country, with two separate troupes performing simultaneously. They marked the 35th Anniversary of their annual tour back in 2019, making them the longest-running holiday tour in the world.
