Mary Chapin Carpenter and Brandy Clark are joining forces for a special tour which is kicking off this summer. The new trek includes stops in major cities, including New York, Nashville, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, Scottsdale, Charleston and more until October 11.

What’s more, this legend also stands proudly as one of only 15 female members of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Mary Chapin Carpenter most recently launched her new podcast, Hope is a Muscle. The podcast sees the star chat with people from all walks of life. During its popular run, Hope is a Muscle was in the top five music podcasts on both the Apple and Spotify platforms. Earlier this year, she also dropped “Looking For The Thread” alongside Scottish singer-songwriters Karine Polwart and Julie Fowlis.
Last year was just as eventful for Mary Chapin Carpenter. She won the coveted Best Americana Performance at the 66th Grammy Awards, as well as Song of the Year at the 2024 Americana Honors & Awards with her celebrated song, “Dear Insecurity,” featuring Brandi Carlile.
Mary Chapin Carpenter has also penned songs like “A Beautiful Noise,” the Grammy-nominated duet played by Carlile and Alicia Keys. She also lent her talents to Kacey Musgraves’ “Follow Your Arrow” and composed the music for the musical, Shucked, alongside her longtime friend Shane McAnally, which was put up for a nomination for Best Original Score at the 76th Tony Awards (where Shucked received a staggering nine nominations in total.)
Brandy Clark is another country music heavyweight. Her songs have been recorded by the likes of Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert, The Band Perry, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes, Billy Currington, Darius Rucker, Kacey Musgraves, among others. Some fan favorite hits include: “Who You Thought I Was,” “Three Kids No Husband,” and “Stripes.”
