Styx In Concert tickets

Nothing sounds more like the soundtrack of summer than the legendary progressive rock legends Styx’s "Renegade," “Too Much Time on My Hands," “The Best of Times," and “Come Sail Away," and they will be pulling in to the Orpheum Theatre on 12 October 2024, to turn up the heat even more!

Styx will be tapping into their over four decades of barn burning chart hits, joyous singalongs, hard-driving cuts, and a whole lot more in what promise to be one of the greatest, most rocking concerts of the season, and we are going absolutely nuts for it!

If it's unique you’re after, you’ve got it. Styx’s unique musical style is like the North smooshing together with the South: hard rock guitar blended with acoustic guitar, synthesizers mixed with acoustic piano, upbeat meets power ballad, and a dash of musical theatre elements to top it all off.

Tickets for the biggest must-see of the season are priced to go from only $77, and if you want to catch them live, you better hit that button now and get your tickets before they sell out!

Styx In Concert Tickets from $77

It’s progressive rock, soft rock, and everything in between. It’s a great body of generation-crossing work. It’s immersing the body and soul in a signature sound. It’s spirited and professional. It’s the epitome of ‘legendary’, and just when you think it can’t get any better, it does. It’s rock, like when rock was still rock.

It’s Styx in concert, and they are ready to rock Minneapolis!

Styx made their debut in 1972 with their eponymous album. After releasing an album every year, their major breakthrough came with the release of “The Grand Illusion" in 1977, peaking on the charts all around and becoming the first of four straight platinum-selling albums. Styx released their latest album, “Crash of the Crown,” in 2021, which charted on the Billboard 200 and has been hailed by critics as a masterpiece. Overall, Styx had eight songs that peaked on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as 16 top 40 singles. Their smash single, "Babe," won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite New Song in 1980.

Rock lovers are in for a treat unlike any other! Singer-keyboardist Lawrence Gowan is quite the showman, from spinning his keyboard to prancing about and even standing on his stool with one leg while setting the keys on fire. Tommy Shaw leads Styx with a fiery passion, while bassist Ricky Phillips and drummer Todd Sucherman keep it steady and in the pocket. James “J.Y.” Young and Will Evankovich let rip on the guitar, while Chuck Panozzo jolts in with harmonies – simply spot on!

Whether you’re into the progressively sweeping splendor of “The Grand Illusion," the hunker-down fortitude that is “Blue Collar Man," the majestic spiritual love for a special "Lady," the yearning for a true connection as a “Man in the Wilderness," or the grainy all-in gallop of the rugged “Renegade” that had it made, Styx’s incredibly diverse stylistic cornerstone hits have something to everyone’s liking.

The Orpheum Theatre in downtown Minneapolis is a legendary venue, suitable for legends such as Styx. The classy theatre can host up to 2,600 fans, spread over the main floor and balcony.
