“Quarter-Life Crisis” comedy star TAYLOR TOMLINSON is all set to spill the hottest tea yet. Announcing her SAVE ME TOUR across North America slated for 2025, the “Look at You” and “Have It All” stand-up comic is whipping out something different this time around. Sharing that she’ll be exposing revelations surrounding her faith and sexuality, some people had their eyebrows raised, while a lot of her fans came rushing to see if she’s visiting their city. Well, fans in Minneapolis are in luck! Tomlinson is taking this exciting show to the stage at the Orpheum Theatre.
Since her breakthrough in 2020 when people had her Netflix special by their side amidst the lockdown era, Tomlinson became some sort of everyone’s bestie. Relatable, funny, and charming, she’s got it all. Set to unleash her wildest thoughts, this tour is gonna be packed with her most authentic self yet. Some might call it controversial, while others call it brave, all we know is Tomlinson isn’t holding back. With big revelations on the line, this is her most exciting tour announcement yet.
Breaking records as the only female late-night host on TV for CBS’ “After Midnight”, she’s been showing the power that a female voice holds. Talking about “what set the Internet abuzz that day with a game show feel,” the Stephen Colbert-produced late-night comedy panel game show proved to be a hit.
“What I didn’t expect was how someone so young can be so confident in the role and adaptable to changes so fluidly,” Colbert told Variety, impressed with Tomlinson’s work.
Looking back, Tomlinson felt that people weren’t ready to hear her deep and personal thoughts just yet, as a young comic starting out. “I just started really young, so watching a 19-year-old do stand-up at all is very uncomfortable… People are already scared for you and nervous about the show, [and] I don’t think I had the maturity as a performer to pull those jokes off,” she shared via The Hollywood Reporter’s stand-up Roundtable.
Starting out in the church comedy circuit, seems like getting kicked out was a blessing in disguise. Now, she’s out here being her true self — someone that the whole world soon loved. Ready to tell her stories surrounding faith and sexuality, it’s gonna be a wild ride. Sharing a quick preview of her previous show where she describes her “religious upbringing”, the comic shares that she isn’t that of a religious girl anymore… “I have had some friends find religion as adults recently, which is very upsetting.”
SAVE ME might piss some people off, and on the other hand, unite people in support of her life journey. All we know is you’re in for a wild ride of hot takes, personal tales, and a lot of laughs. Book your tickets now!
